Psychosocial Rehabilitation Programme for Patients Suffering From Addictions

 Inclusion Criteria:

- 18 years of age;

- Identity certifying document;

- absence of ongoing legal procedings;

- absence of psychotic disorder at the moment of admission to the programme;

- diagnosis confirming the presence of clinical signs related to a specific disorder classified in ICD 10;

- availability for daily attendance to the programme and supportive social environment

- declared agreement to the philosophy, principles and purposes and procedures of the programme, basic rules of the programme and the consequences of not respecting the basic rules, the degree and the limitations of confidentiality;

Admission procedures:

Procedure for admission to the programme is as follows:

-         prospective client submits an application

-         initial interview

-         assessment by the team

-         selecting a date for admission

-         signing of the therapeutic agreement

-         elaborating of individual client card


Discharge procedures:

Decision for discharge from the programme is made and recorded accordingly during a team meeting 

Planned discharge occurs after achieving of the individual short term and long term goals. The discharge can be organized as a special event after agreement between the team and the therapeutic community.

Client can be discharged automatically after non-compliance with the therapeutic agreement and violating the rules of the programme and after applying disciplinary interventions. Client is discharged immediately if involved criminal actions.

Discharge in case of unpredictable circumstances.

In any case of discharge the clients are assessed in terms of their needs and risk of relapse. Subsequently they are provided with advice on prevention. They are provided with information on other possible options for treatment and the possibilities for returning to the programme. They are encouraged to maintain the contact with the team.

Programme completion criteria:

-living free from the use of psychoactive substances;
-effective employment;
-maintaining stable quality of live and functioning in society;


Programme duration:

The programme operated as a day therapeutic programme  

5 days per week from 08:30 to 16:00 in the course of 8 months.
